Again this Spring, dairy producers and all front line employees are encouraged to take advantage of one of our five, free animal care workshops being held on dairy farms across the state!
Along with our partners at the Center for Dairy Excellence, PA Beef Council, and Penn State Extension, PDMP is hosting regional on-farm workshops help boost key animal welfare skills AND help participating dairy farms meet their National FARM compliance.
- Rotate through four training areas, including:
- Cull Cow Decisions, Down Cows and Transition Cows
- Animal Handling, Stewardship and Meat Quality Issues
- Dystocia
- Farm Safety
- Send both English and Spanish-speaking employees to the workshops. A Spanish interpreter will be present at each event.
- Enjoy a free lunch to network with other dairy professionals.
- Obtain a certificate at the conclusion of the workshops to confirm each participants' training compliance for National FARM and animal care.
There is no reason not to take advantage of this free training program for dairy farm personnel!
